Number of police officers increased in Baku

Ehsan Zahidov, officer of the Ministry of Interior Affairs told APA it was done due to the holidays and official events. Continuous events were held in connection with Sacrifice Feast, New Year and Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis.

"January 20-nationwide mourning day is coming. A number of official events will be held on this occasion. The police have been put on alert to preserve law and order and to ensure public security since the end of December. It still continues," he said.
