Media chiefs appeal to president on release of editor-in-chief of Sanat newspaper

A group of media chiefs appealed to the President Ilham Aliyev on release of editor-in-chief of Sanat newspaper Samir Sadagtaoglu.

The appeal asks to release Samir Sadagatoglu, taking into account that he has two children and has several times apologized to the country muslims.

A group of parliamentarians had also appealed to the President with the same request.

Rafig Tagi and editor-in-chief of Sanat newspaper Samir Sadagatoglu are accused on Article 283 of the Criminal Code (creating national, racial, social or religious hatred and hostility), APA reports.
