Opening of International Environmental Project Olympiad to be held Apr 4

The ceremony organized by State Oil Company of Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), Education, Ecology and Tourism, Emergencies Ministries and 'Cag' Education Companies will take place in Baku Sport Palace.

Coordination center of the Olympiad told APA-Economics that schoolchildren from 17 countries of the world will joint the Olympiad, which will continue till April 7, and will demonstrate their stands. The representatives of Kazakhstan and Nigeria schools have already arrived in Baku.

The Olympiad is aimed at enlightenment of the young generation in solution of ecological problems existing in Azerbaijan and the world and protection of environment, development of ecological consciousness of the children, protection of natural, historical, cultural and socio-esthetical values and encouragement of the pupils to implement some projects.
