Azeri poet dies

81-year old People's poet Gabil Imamverdiyev died at the night of April 3 to 4 at night.

Azerbaijani Writers' Union told the APA he suffered from heart disease and his condition was bad at 23.00. He suffered from heart disease within last year. The condition of the poet became worth of this disease two years ago, but the doctors could remove it then.

The poet was born in 1926, August 12 in Baku. Gabil was the chief of Azerbaijan Writers' Union Elderly Council. He was awarded Glory and Independence orders.
