Assaulters of police officer in Sumgayit have not yet been arrested

The assaulters of a policeman in Sumgayit have not yet been arrested.

Deputy Interior Minister Oruj Zalov told the APA that the operation to detain the assaulters continues. He said the delinquents will soon be arrested.

Oruj Zalov also commented on the reports about the assaulters' being wahhabists.

"Our duty is to find criminals. A criminal has no religion or nation," he said.

Unknown men attacked a policeman in Sumgayit city of Azerbaijan several days ago leaving him wounded.
