Petition on case of Huseyn Abdullayev dismissed

Petition presented to General Prosecutor's Office Investigation department for dropping of the criminal case against parliamentarian Huseyn Abdullayev, and launching criminal case against parliamentarian Fazail Agamali was dismissed, Eldar Efendiyev, spokesman for General Prosecutor's office told.

He said that there was no ground to drop the criminal case against Huseyn Abdullayev and launch criminal case against Fazail Agamali.

Kamandar Nasibli, lawyer for Huseyn Abdullayev told APA that he is unaware the petition was dismissed. He said if the petition is dismissed, they will appeal to Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov.

MPs Fazail Agamali and Huseyn Abdullayev had a conflict at the parliament's sitting March 16. Fazail Agamali appealed to the law enforcement bodies and said that he was offended and underwent physical pressure.

The parliament annulled Abdullayev's parliamentary immunity at Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov's demand.

A criminal case has been launched against him on Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) and 132 (beating).
