National Action Plan prepared for handicapped children

National Action Plan has been prepared as a result of the first national conference on problems of children with special care needs (handicapped children) organized by the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, Azerbaijan NGO Alliance on Children's Rights, USAID, Save the Children and UNICEF.

UNICEF told the APA the plan covers concrete measures for the solution of the problems of handicapped children.

The book reflecting the report of the first national conference "On problems of children with special care needs" and draft of National Action Plan will be presented on Tuesday.

The aim of the conference held on March 26 was to draw the attention of Azerbaijani government and society to the problems of handicapped children.
