UN structures in Azerbaijan recommended to specify positions on the country for 2008-2010

The discussions were attended by  Minister Heydar Babayev and the UN resident coordinator in Azerbaijan Bruno Puezat.

It was noted during the arrangement that the execution of  the State Program on Poverty Reduction and Economic Development, initiated in 2003, is nearing its completion.

This program is considered the first stage in the achievement of the millenium development goals, development  for  Azerbaijan by UN until 2015. At the same time, the  draft  program  on poverty reduction and long-term development  has also been prepared for Azerbaijan.

B.Puezat noted in turn that the next framework document will cover  the years of 2010-2014. He recommended the UN structures, operating in Azeraijan, to specify their positions on the country for 2008-2010.
