The State Veterinary Service will hold a monitoring on avian flue December 17 due to an existing threat of spread of the virus on the territory of Azerbaijan.
The announcement has been made by the deputy chief of the State Veterinary Service Emin Shahbazov.
He said the necessity to conduct the monitoring was caused by detection of avian flue virus at a poultry farm in Rostov.
"The monitoring will be held by officials of the State Veterinary Service, specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Ministry of Health in places of proposed temporary nesting of wild birds in Absheron, Pirallakhi island, around the Sarysu lake and in the national reserves", E.Shahbazov noted.
The results of the monitoring will come out in ten days.
According to the deputy chief of the State Veterinary Service, 11 monitorings have been conducted in Azerbaijan this year.
