10th anniversary of British-Azerbaijani Society marked in London

The event, chaired by the vice speaker of Milli Medjlis of Azerbaijan Valekh Aleskerov, was attended by the members of the group of Azerbaijan-Great Britain interparliamentary friendship, House of Lords, officials of the British Department for External Affairs and other state structures, as well as business circles.

The co-chair of the Society Lord Frazer made a welcoming speech, representing Great Britain in the arrangement. He spoke about the exclusive contribution of the society in strengthening bilateral ties and arrangements and projects, implemented by the institution within the past 10 years.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Great Britain Fakhraddin Gurbanov also made a speech during the event.

He highly evaluated the activity of the Society, informing the participants about the charity programs of the institution.

He mentioned the role of the society in establishment of relations between the business circles of the two countries and wished success in its activity.

The guests, making speech during the event, expressed confidence about the further development of Azerbaijan-Britain relations.
