No religious group, or Wahhabis can be troubled in Azerbaijan. This is a reality. Everybody has a right for freedom of religion in the country," chairwoman of the Parliament’s Permanent Commission on Human Rights Rabiyyat Aslanova told APA.
She said it was not right to treat the activity of the religious groups with fear.

Rabiyyat Aslanova said there was no ground to worry that the number of a religious group members might increase and pose a threat to the country.

"There has never been a religious confrontation in Azerbaijan," she said.

Touching upon the explosion in Abu Bakr Mosque Rabiyyat Aslanova regarded it as disrespect to the religious men.

"The offender should be found," she said.

As regards re-adopting or changing the law on "Freedom of Religion", the Chairwoman of the Commission said there was no need for it.

"The items in this law ensure normal activity of religious communities in Azerbaijan," she said.
