Representatives of Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice attend conference on justice in the South Caucasus

The due announcement was made on November 20 at a press conference by results of the international conference of the judges of the region, held in Tbilisi under the CE auspices.

The topic of the conference, attended by representatives of the Justice Ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, as well as representatives of judicial  powers, was justice and law in the South Caucasus.

The main topic of discussions was justice and legal state in the South Caucasus: success and problems of justice professions.

CE recommends to the countries of the region to continue reforms in two directions - preparation of officials of the judicial sphere, improvement of the system of supreme council of justice, which must be more free and independent.

CE experts consider that the councils must have more judges, lawyers, than state officials.

Participants of the conference from Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia voiced readiness to continue reformation of the legal and judicial system in coordination with CE.
