European court of human rights takes four claims against Azerbaijani government for consideration

The stage of communication between the European Court of Human Rights and Azerbaijani Government on four claims has been launched, said chairman of the Forum of Lawyers Intigam Aliyev.
He said the European Court accepted for consideration the claims of the head of the public forum "For Azerbaijan" Eldar Namazov, activist of the Azadlyg political bloc Elchin Rzayev, activist of the "New policy" Yagub Mamedov, activist of the Azadlyg political bloc Namet Aliyev, related to the parliamentary elections of 2005.

The European Court of Human Rights has sent requests on these claims to the Azerbaijani side. The country's government must respond to these requests until March 6 of 2009.

The claims fixes the violation of rights of freedom of choice, 14th article of the European convention on human rights, arbitrariness in electoral districts and so on.
