"About 5000 citizens of Azerbaijan went missing during the occupational policy of the terrorist state of Armenia in 1992-1995", said Esmira Orujeva, chairman of the public association of assistance to captives and hostages Hasret Yolu.
"Of them 47 are children, over 600 young people. About 800 people were taken captives and hostages, 21 are children, 596 young people. Though witnesses say they are held captives or kept hostages, the Armenian side rejects these facts", noted Orujeva,

She said the occupational state of Armenia, rudely violating conditions of the Geneva convention "On protection of civil population during war", "Treatment of war prisoners" is applying tortures against captives and hostages, treating them cruelly.

"Of 1396 Azerbaijani citizens, released from Armenian captivity before 1996, 169 were children. They were released after physical and moral tortures", said Orujeva.

On the day of youth, members of the youth organizations of the Public association of assistance to hostages and war prisoners Hasret Yolu call on all youth organizations of Azerbaijan, international organizations and foreign countries to demonstrate will in returning representatives of Azerbaijani youth held in Armenian captivity to Azerbaijan and learn about the fate of those missing.
