The friendship between Azerbaijan and Georgia will continue for centuries, said Georgian state minister on diaspora issues Yulon Gagoshidze.
He called Azerbaijan the most friendly country of Georgia.

"Our peoples are bound with friends, our presidents are also friends and this will continue forever", noted Gagoshidze.

He said there are many Azerbaijanis in Georgia and there are many Georgians in Azerbaijan and all of them feel at home. The state minister stressed the problem that Azerbaijanis, residing in Georgia, do not speak the state language.

"Not all Azerbaijanis, but most of them know the state language badly and the education ministry is taking measures to improve teaching of Georgian language", said he.

The state minister noted that Azerbaijani diaspora is part of Georgia.

"They had lived there for long and this is their native land", announced Gagoshidze.
