International Cartoon Contest titled “Molla Nasraddin” – Azerbaijan 2009” ended

Nearly 500 artists from 70 countries attended the contest organized by the Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and sponsored by the ministry of Culture and Tourism and International federation of Cartoonists’ Organizations (FECO). Russian, Croatian, Chinese, Turkish, Australian, Dutch and Ukrainian artists won the gold, silver and bronze medals of the contest. Azerbaijani cartoonists were awarded with the special prizes. The ceremony of awarding and opening of the exhibition of the International Cartoon Contest “Molla Nasraddin–Azerbaijan 2009” will be held on April 7 in Vajiha Samadova Exhibition Center. The works of winners will be displayed at the exhibition.
