Interparliamentary friendship group ready to support to publish books on Azerbaijani-Georgian literary relations: MP

A book by Azerbaijanis in Georgia was presented.
"We are always ready to support an initiative of Azerbaijanis' cultural centers in Georgia in publishing books on history, literature of our fellows in Georgia, increasing books, as well as translating the Azerbaijani-Georgian literary relations," Azerbaijan-Georgia Interparliamentary Friendship Group Member Ganira Pashayeva said at the event in the Ataturk centre on April 6.

The "Ancient Tbilisi" by Mirza Mammadoglu and "Talks on Theatre" by Alkhan Binnatoglu were developed under support of the friendship group, she said. "A literary environment of ancient Tbilisi occupies a special place in Azerbaijan's history. Therefore, this is Azerbaijanis' important literary work about Tbilisi's past and present," Pashayeva said.

The book "Talks on Theatre" highlights facts testifying that the Azerbaijani theatre in Tbilisi is a component part of our culture, the member of the parliament said. "This theatre is still functioning and named after National Leader Heydar Aliyev," she said.

Pashayeva said the book "Armenian betrayal and Georgia" comprises valuable historical facts which once again prove Armenians' barbarism in all Caucasus region. "We will render aid to translate and publish the book in the English language," the member of the parliament said.

The book "Azerbaijani-Georgian cultural relations" by Madat Chobanoglu includes interesting facts, she said. "Publishing this book testifies that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev pays a great attention to Azerbaijanis in Georgia and makes efforts to solve their problem," Pashayeva said.
