President of Heydar Aliyev foundation meets Lithuanian delegation

The guests familiarized themselves with the photos and documents reflecting different periods of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s lifetime and activity. They were informed that the main goal of the Foundation is to study and popularize Heydar Aliyev`s rich heritage, give an idea to the future generations about his large-scale activity to achieve Azerbaijan`s socio-economic, cultural progress, and assist projects to popularize the history and culture of Azerbaijan. Spouse of Lithuanian Premier, President of the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation Rasa Kubiliene signed the Foundation`s Guest Book. The guests watched a documentary film on activity of the Foundation and projects implemented.

Later, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva met with Lithuanian delegation. On establishment of the good relations between Lithuania and Azerbaijan in all areas, Mrs. Aliyeva informed about the Foundation`s various projects. She underlined that main purpose of the Foundation is to popularize Azerbaijanizm ideology founded by nationwide leader, render assistance to the children`s home and boarding schools, refugees and IDPs, and realize numerous projects in the fields of science, education, health and culture.

Mrs. Kubiliene praised the activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation adding that M. Rostropovich Foundation realizes the same functions.

The sides also stressed the benefit of the bilateral cooperation between the two Foundations.
