Advisor to the Georgian Embassy: Baku has not yet been applied to Tbilisi for assistance in investigating the tragedy at the university

"The Azerbaijani authorities have not yet contacted the Embassy of Georgia to assist in the investigation of the tragedy at Baku University, where a citizen of Georgia, ethnic Azeri killed 13 people, said adviser to the Georgian embassy Mamuka Balavadze.

"No appeal has been received via the embassy. If it has been received, it could occur only via the due structures.As far as I know, the representative of the our Ministry of Internal Affairs in Azerbaijan is dealing with such issues," said M. Balavadze.

But he added that "in any case, if there is a request from the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan, our law enforcement agencies will assist their Azeri colleague in investigating this case".
