Strong wind caused fire in two houses in Shirvan City of Azerbaijan, standby unit of the Shirvan Firefighting Service told APA local bureau.

The fire took place at about 18.00 on May 19 in two private houses owned by Muradova Ilhama Atakhan and Shukurov Aghabala Shukur. 135 square meters of territory and roofs of both houses were burned as a result of fire. Firefighters prevented the extension of fire to nearby houses. The householders and neighbors said the fire was caused by a short circuit during a strong wind last evening. Electric conductors set fire to the roof of one of the houses, which immediately extended to other house. The firefighters also confirmed that the fire was caused by a short circuit. The local firefighting service is investigating the incident.
