Azerbaijan State Customs Committee handed over 663 Christian books, two icons and a rood confiscated by the Khachmaz Customs Office to the Russian Orthodox Church Baku and Caspian Eparchy.

According to APA, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev said at the handover ceremony that the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations identified the books as a religious literature about the Christianity founding principles and believes. Custom officials of some CIS countries also attended the ceremony. Representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Eparchy expressed satisfaction with regular handover of the confiscated books, roods and icons. Then CIS custom officials looked at the church museum.
