Azerbaijan to build artificial islands on Caspian Sea

Artificial islands are expected to be built near the costs of Baku on the Caspian Sea, the government sources said.
As a first step, several islands will be built in 4-5 km off Baku, which will be connected with Baku via direct highway and maritime transport. The islands will be to boost tourism in the country.

The project of artificial islands is being designed. The sources said the islands will be built by the foreign companies, names of which are not disclosed yet.

Euro-City Group of Companies is working on the project of Zira Sifir Export Island which aims to build resort center on the Caspian island of Zira (former Nargin).
