Azerbaijan, Georgian national archive agencies sign cooperation memo

National archive agencies of Azerbaijan and Georgia have signed a memorandum on cooperation, National Archive Agency Director Kamal Agayev said.
He said agreement has been reached on development of comprehensive cooperation, including exchange of information and professional experience, preparation of special survey materials to enrich and replenish stocks and collections with papers important for the history of both countries, full exchange of information and archival documents, letting each other to know about publication of archival papers, froming a scientific and methodical literature, organizing scientific meetings, maintaining direct relationship between the state archives of both countries, and free use of archival materials and tools while required for scientific research.

Under the memorandum, copies of microfilm in the archives can be used only for research purposes and for other important activities related to the history of both countries. Any documents of this kind can be published only with the consent of the other party.
