A criminal case has been launched on the Azerbaijan
Air Lines (AZAL) Mi-8 helicopter crash over the Azerbaijani sector of
the Caspian Sea on July 12, press service of the Republican
Prosecutor’s Office said. The criminal case was launched under
article 262.3 (violation of the rules of traffic safety and rules of operation of the
railway, waterway or air, death of two or more
persons caused by negligence )
. Investigation is underway into the case.

12:00Dead body has been found in Mi-8 helicopter that crashed over Caspian Sea on July 12, AZAL spokesperson Maharram Safarli said.
The dead body was revealed at a cabin under the water. The dead body will be identified as soon as the helicopter will be pulled out.
He said the second person who went missing during the crash is being searched.
19:46“The work to pull out the helicopter launched at 08:00,” AZAL spokesperson Maharram Safarli said.
“It is difficult to say when the helicopter will be pulled out completely,” he said.
The relevant agencies of the Emergency Situations Ministry are involved with the pull-out.
The Emergency Situations Ministry said earlier that the helicopter is at the depth of 85-90 meters.
Helicopter owned by Azerbaijan Airlines crashed over the Azerbaijani section of the Caspian Sea on July 12. Three crew members and three workers were on board during the crash. AZAL official said search for the two men missing during the crash is going on.
