Total of 300 pilgrims will travel by buses and 1700 by plane.
He said usually some of the pilgrims are not ready spiritually for Hajj pilgrimage and perform it in a wrong way
“We have organized courses for them, but they do not attend. We held consultations with the government and decided to take 2,000 pilgrims to Hajj every year. The prices will remain the same. Pilgrims who apply after the quota is filled will be sent to Hajj the next year. This experience is used in many countries”.
Pashazade said 5,500 people made Hajj pilgrimage last year though Azerbaijan had a real potential for 3,000 people. Further the Hajj pilgrimage will be organized only by the Caucasian Muslims Office. No private company will be allowed to organize the pilgrimage. Last year private companies were fined 30,000-40,000 manat for that”.
Pashazade said there was no official decision about cancellation of Hajj pilgrimage because of A/H1N1 virus. “If there is an official decision by Saudi Arabia, we will consider it. The pilgrims will receive anti-virus injection before the Hajj. The virus threat has also an impact on the reducing of quota”.
