Georgia enters swine flu spread area: WHO

Georgia has been included in a swine flue spread area, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.
The virus is widely spread in all continents, as well as in Europe with 40 of 53 countries being positive to swine flue.

The country has taken preventative measures over several months following the first swine flue case were detected, the Georgian Health Ministry said.

Specific actions have been taken to avoid the spread of virus. Control over food and questioning of tourists in checkpoints were strengthened and health ministry takes under control each suspicious case.

About 10,000 case of swine flue infection were detected in Europe, but vaccination is still to be found.

According to Georgian doctors, virus is particularly dangerous for people aged between 15 and 30 years.
