Fatal traffic accidents decrease in Baku

The number of fatal traffic accidents dropped in Baku in January-June 2009.
The number of fatal traffic accidents decreased by 11.8 percent in Baku, the Baku City Traffic Police Office told Trend News on July 27. A total of 352 fatal traffic accidents have occurred during this period compared to 399 in the same period of 2008.

The number of the injured people reduced from 1,736 to 1,534 (11.6 percent).

The relevant measures have been taken regarding 4,762 drunk drivers, 1,988 drivers violating passenger conveyance rules and 9,350 drivers for speeding.
