Azerbaijan’s embassy in India verifies reports about arrest of vessel with Azerbaijanis on board

“Azerbaijan’s embassy in India does not have any information about Turkish vessel arrested on the Indian coast,” Azerbaijani ambassador to India Tamerlan Garayev said commenting on reports about arrest of Turkish vessel with 5 Azerbaijanis on board on the Indian coast.
“No one has officially applied us in this regard. We are trying verify the reports at the moment,” he said.  

A vessel owned by Turkish ECE A Tanker Grup has been arrested on the Indian coast.

The crew of the Turkey-flagged vessel includes 5 Azerbaijanis, 10 Turkish and 1 Georgian.
