Azerbaijani president attends concert of Russian pop star Alla Pugacheva

Pugacheva performed her old and new songs. During the concert, she praised “significant development” she witnessed in the Azerbaijani capital, saying “I am very glad that positive changes have taken place in Baku”.

She also expressed her gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for development of Baku.

Pugacheva said today`s concert is her last meeting with her fans in Baku, adding in the future she will continue her activity in movie, theatre and radio.

Following the concert, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met with Alla Pugacheva.

The Head of State presented Pugacheva with “Dostlug” (Friendship) order for her contribution to development of cultural ties between the Azerbaijan Republic and Russian Federation.

The President said the concert was interesting, and wished Pugacheva new successes in her activities and good health.

Alla Pugacheva thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the order.

She also said she was happy to be in Baku again.
