Saudi Arabia puts age restrictions for Hajj

Health Ministry of Saudi Arabia has prepared a number of proposals to prevent spread of A H1N1 among the Hajj pilgrims, Azerbaijani Health Ministry said.
According to the proposals, restrictions should be imposed on the age of the pilgrims. It is not expedient for the pilgrims aged over 65 and under 12 years to perform Umrah and Hajj.

Moreover, Hajj pilgrims must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza. Pilgrims must also be vaccinated against Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 if a vaccination becomes available.

Consulates of Saudi Arabia will grant visas only to the persons having vaccination certificate.
