Percentage of people employed with vocational education high in Azerbaijan

"The attitude of society towards vocational education has changed. There are vocational schools where there are five applicants for one place. The percentage of persons employed with vocational education is higher. They are mainly employed in country’s regions," Education Minister Misir Mardanov said.

The minister said that they have set rules for student admission in some vocational schools.

"The rules adopted are provided only for vocational schools that are mostly applied during admissions. The president has instructed the Ministry of Education to use Germany's experience in developing vocational education. For the first time, new textbooks have been published for vocational schools," Mardanov said.
