Caucasus Muslims Board chief comments on demolition of mosques

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB) Sheik-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade is against demolition of mosques in Azerbaijan.
"The construction and demolition of mosques are beyond my competence, but I have repeatedly condemned their demolition. I am against demolition and I always will be against it," Sheik-ul-Islam Pashazade told reporters.

Recently, the Surakhani District Executive Power appealed to the local economic court to demolish the Fatimeyi Zahra mosque in the Yeni Gunashli settlement  of the district.

The court satisfied the appeal.

Over the last year the mosque of 'Our Prophet Muhammad' and the mosque at the Oil Rocks were demolished in Baku as illegally-built facilities.
