Veronika Kotek, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, visited the Fund for State Support to Media Development under Azerbaijani President, press office of the fund said.

CE representative took interest in the goal and activity of the fund.
Fund's Executive Director Vugar Safarli briefed on activity of the fund.
Speaking about the project competition held by the fund Safarli said 112 projects were presented for the competition.
“The documents of 25 projects were not in order. About 87 projects were presented to the experts for assessment and 12 experts participated in the assessment. Three experts assessed every project. A total of 15 projects failed to gain the necessary points; 17 projects gained necessary points, but their points were fewer than those of the other projects. A total of 55 projects won the competition; 30 of them were newspapers, 13 news agencies, 6 journalist organizations and 6 other related organizations,” he said.
Vugar Safarli also informed Veronika Kotek about the work to be done by the fund by the yearend. Veronika Kotek was satisfied with the meeting and underlined the importance of holding such meetings.
