Azerbaijan’s education ministry not rules out rise in teachers’ salaries

Over 170,000 teachers celebrate this day in Azerbaijan.

Employees of the Ministry of Education together with  Education Minister Misir Mardanov visited the tomb of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor.

Answering journalists' questions, the minister said that this year 72 people were awarded the honorary title "Honored Teacher".

Over 50 teachers were awarded  Tereggi medal, two were awarded the title " Distinguished Engineer".

Mardanov appreciated the state care for education saying that the state budget allocatess funds to education more than other spheres.

The Education Ministry does not exclude salary increases for teachers.
