Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry says Azerbaijani crew members on board of Turkish ship detained in Albania face no restrictions to return home

"The eight Azerbaijanis, who are on board of the Premyer ship detained in Albania, feel good and face no restriction to return ome," Spokesman for Foreign Ministry Elkhan Polukhov said.
He said the ship is owned by a Turkish company.

“The crew have documents, they can return. The International Committee of the Red Cross said they are provided with food products. The owners of the ship are currently holding negotiations with the port leadership,” he said.

The diplomat also said that the ministry had ordered the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey to investigate the case.

He said none of the crew members had appealed to return home.

Polukhov said one had been hospitalized because of heart problems.
