False bomb alert in Baku Oil Refinery

Police received anonymous call informing about bomb planted at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery in Baku, the prosecutor’s Office of the Nizami district of Baku said.

Unknown man called 102 service of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan and informed about the bomb installation at night on April 7-8.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan was immediately informed about the incident and it started search operations in the refinery.

The report was not confirmed as a result of searches.

Police identified that the call was received from a public phone in the territory of Khatai district of Baku and it continues operational searches to detain the anonym caller.
