Azerbaijani poet Rasul Rza's centenary to be marked abroad

The 100th birthday of Rasul Rza, an outstanding Azeri poet of 20 century, State Prize winner, Hero of Socialist Labor, will be marked on a highest level in accordance with the President Ilham Aliyev’s decree.

The jubilee celebrations will take place in different towns of Azerbaijan, including Ganja, Goychay, Nakhchivan and the Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku.

Rasul Rza’s centenary-related events also will be held in Russia, Iran and other countries. The special ceremony to mark the jubilee of famous Azerbaijan’s poet is slated for May 12 in Istanbul.
