World Cyber Games 2010 Azerbaijan launches registration

The registration deadline is May 11.

The championship already covers over 70 countries. Millions of athletes attend the qualifying games for the national championships to participate in WCG and WCG Grand Final will be held in various cities around the world.

Grand final of World Cyber Games 2010 will be held in Los Angeles. Date is not known yet.

Azerbaijan participated in the WCG became in 2006 for the first time. The first national championship in Azerbaijan on computer games and pick-up games for WCG were conducted with the support of the Youth and Sport Ministry and the national association of computer games.

The competitions were held on the three most popular games (Counter-Strike 1.6, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and FIFA Soccer 2006). Winners in NFS: MW and FIFA have joined the national team and participated in the grand final of WCG, which took place in autumn 2006 in Italy.

Azerbaijan's cyber players also took part in the grand final WCG-2007 in Seattle. The national team raised the team rankings by 13 steps up compared to 2006.
