Costumes provided by Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Russia office take honourable place in national costume contest in Moscow

11th International competition of national costume "Ethno-Erato" was held in the Moscow House of Nationalities.
The annual festival of national dress was held on the initiative of women's organization to preserve the culture of Turkic-speaking peoples with the support of the Government of Moscow and the Moscow House of Nationalities.

Thanks to Aida Qulieva, director of Karimov School No. 157 with Azerbaijani ethno-cultural component, pupils of the school has been actively involved in the competition over the past 8 years.

School staff participated in the contest in the nomination "The Best costume of peoples of Caucasus" and "Ethnic motives in modern dress."

Over the past three years costumes for the contest were provided by Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Russia office. In 2008, these were costumes made from sketches of artist of the nineteenth century Prince Gagarin and costumes made from floral motif in 2009.

This year they were dance costumes from the collection of "Khari Bulbul” which took an honorable third place in the “The Best Costume peoples of the Caucasus" nomination.
