On the 1st of May, in a Narimanov district school #1, a Museum dedicated to Nationa Leader Heydar Aliyev was opened.

The Museum contains photos of Heydar Aliyev's earlier life, depicting his care of his people, as well as books about former Azerbaijani president.
Azerbaijani MPs took part in the opening ceremony, as well as the veterans of WWII, and public representatives of the Narimanov district. Member of Milli Majlis (parliament) Adil Aliyev cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the museum. A minute of silence was observed, then the junior school students read poems about the national leader.
Adil Aliyev noted that the opening of similar museums in the number of schools is a worthy contribution to perpetuating the memory of a great leader. They stressed that the life and work of a great leader who has always been attentive to the children and youth, is an example for the younger generation.
Addressing the meeting, members of the Milli Majlis Aydin Mirzazadeh, Elmira Akhundova, Rafael Djebrailov, Nizami Jafarov said that the life of the great leader could be an example for every young person. They also stressed the importance of museums to explore the heritage of the national leader. Azerbaijani MP Elmira Akhundova gave her books on the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Museum.
