Azerbaijani Education Minister supports elimination of smaller schools

Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov supports elemination of schools with few pupils.
At present, 30 pupils study in nine secondary schools in Azerbaijan, in 74 schools - from 31 to 50 pupils, in 323 schools - from 51 to 100 pupils, Mardanov said during college meeting on the topic "Rationalization of schools network", Education Ministry said. According to the minister, activity of these schools is unsuitable. The minister gave the example of experience of several countries in which school buses to transport students from small towns to big school are allocated.

According to Mardanov, rationalization of schools network is the main problem of common education system. The Ministry has already prepared a work plan on rationalization of education in Ujar region of the country.
