Nisan Mishiyev, according to him, has one of the biggest collections of Eastern figures, starting from exotic masks and up to Japanese erotica. Soon, he plans to open a gallery, where every visitor could get closer to the whole mistery.
Born in Baku, Mishiyev has been collecting east-asian art. Back in 1995, his wife Irina brought first figures from Japan, and it all started since then. As of now, Mishiyev's collection counts nearly 10 000 figures. The collection was being gathered all over the world: Europe, Central America, Far East.
"We have recently returned from Singapure, where I bought a few things. My collection is always "moving" - something I add, something gets sold. I have very very old gravures, old Japanese masks, icons from Tibet, and so on", said Mishiyev to IzRus portal.
Mishiyev also spoke of one interesting episode of his travels: "While in Canada, I met this Chinese guy, who posessed a very interesting mask. Wpe talked for aproximately 2 hours, without knowing English. That proved, language is not really a problem".
Mishiyev also pointed out, that he plans to visit South Korea, and wishes to visit Japan in the future.
