Chief of the ministry’s medical assistance department Sultan Aliyev said doctors have been mobilized in Shirvan, Sabirabad, Zardab, Kurdamir and Salyan regions. The ministry’s officials together with the head physicians of the regions are doing coordination work in the regions. Brigades from Surgery Institute, Republic Clinic Hospital and other medical institutions are working in the affected area.
Sultan Aliyev said doctors were examining all the people settled in the tents.
“Even anti snake venom serum has been sent to those territories. The persons suffering diabetes mellitus have been supplied with medicines. Medicines, sedatives, blood pressure-lowering drugs, a lot of tents, blanket have been sent to the site,” he said.
Chief of sanitary-epidemiological control of the ministry Viktor Gasimov told APA that the ministry’s brigades were doing disinfection in the flooded regions, mainly in Shirvan, Sabirabad and Zardab. Gasimov said epidemiological situation was stable in the regions.
