Participants of international conference visit Azerbaijani parliament

Participants of an international conference “Scientific and Technological Innovation: National Experience and International Cooperation” visited Azerbaijan`s Parliament, where they met deputy speaker Valeh Alasgarov on May 21.

Alasgarov briefed the participants on the ongoing reforms in his country. He said the Azerbaijani government attaches special importance to development of science and education.

Alasgarov expressed hope the conference would contribute to expanding cooperation among member states. Director of the International Centre for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) Victor Kodola praised the organization of the conference. He stressed Azerbaijan's role within the Center.

A final protocol of the 61st meeting of ICSTI Committee of Plenipotentiary Representatives was signed following the meeting. The organization's 62nd meeting will be hosted Hungary which took over the Committee's rotating chairmanship from Azerbaijan.

“Scientific and Technological Innovation: National Experience and International Cooperation” was co-organized by Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and ICSTI.
