Azerbaijan's Ecology Ministry inspects water-cleaning equipment in disaster-affected areas

"In the current situation, Azersu JSC cannot completely solve the problem of providing the population of Sabirabad with drinking water, and a water-cleaning equipment of Israeli production was put into operation in order to ensure clean water from alternative sources. The effectiveness of the water-cleaning equipment was confirmed during the inspection," said Ibragimova.

The population experience problems with drinking water because of the floods in the Kura river.

If additional need for drinkable water appears during two to three days, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources will install additional equipment, thereby increasing the volume of cleaned water up to 500 tons per day.
