Conference marking 135th anniversary of Azerbaijani press held in Baku

The event brought together representatives from about 10 countries. Opening the event, chairman of the Social Prosperity Party, MP Khanhuseyn Kazimli touched on the importance of the event. He said the conference plays a key role in raising world community`s awareness about Azerbaijan truths.

Chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov underlined the importance of informing the world community about Armenians' violating the principle of justice. To this end, according to him, there is the need to establish Press and Information Solidarity Center for Eurasian countries. Delegates from Russia, Bulgaria, Lithuania and other countries stressed the importance of the conference.

Speaking at the conference were editor-in-chief of the Russia's Tribuna newspaper Oleg Kuzin, Hungarian journalist Eria Zsido, member of the Moldova National Real Estate Chamber Dmitry Trburta.

Khanhuseyn Kazimli was decorated with Tribuna newspaper's badge for his contribution to realizing press solidarity and information between Azerbaijan and Russia. This award has to date gone to only 30 persons in Russia.
