The 61st sitting of the Committee of Plenipotentiary Representatives of ICSTI (International Center for Scientific and Technical Information) member states was held in Azerbaijan's capital on Friday.

The event brought together representatives from 22 ICSTI member states as well as participants of the international conference “Scientific and Technological Innovations: National Experience and International Collaboration” held in Baku on May 20.
President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Mahmud Karimov chaired the meeting. The Chief of ICSTI Victor Kodola delivered a keynote report. The event focused on a number of issues, including information technologies and innovation systems.
The meeting ended with the signing of the 61st meeting's protocol. The participants decided to hold the 62nd meeting of the ICSTI in Budapest, Hungary in 2011. The sitting was continued at the Azerbaijan Museum of History. The participants signed a protocol of the 61st meeting.
