Azerbaijan's first lady meets CoE deputy secretary general

First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva has today met Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, who is in Baku to attend the 7th Conference of Ministers responsible for Equality between Women and Men, entitled “Gender equality: bridging the gap between de jure and de facto gender equality”.

The First Lady thanked Maud de Boer-Buquicchio for accepting invitation to attend the conference. Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva stressed the importance of the conference. The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation underlined topicality of the issues to be discussed at the event.

The Deputy Secretary General expressed her satisfaction with visiting Azerbaijan. She also highlighted the importance of the event.
