Sarisu Lake destroys dams, floods houses in Azerbaijan

They said a number of houses were flooded in Muradbeyli and Gasimbeyli villages. Muradbeyli was isolated from the nearby regions.

Chairman of the emergency commission of Saatli region Ilham Guliyev said Narimanken, Musali and Dallar villages of Saatli region, as well as Novruzlu settlement surrounded by Sarisu Lake and Kur River face with serious threat. The water flows towards these villages. People are being evacuated from the dangerous areas. Rescue workers and technical equipments were gathered in the territory to entrench the dam.
