Azerbaijani justice minister meets CoE director general for human rights and legal affairs

Azerbaijan's Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov has met Philippe Boillat, Director General of Human Rights and Legal Affairs of the Council of Europe.
The Minister said Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe enjoy fruitful cooperation. Mammadov stressed the Council of Europe's “active” assitance to Azerbaijan in making progress in improving its justice and modernizing penitentiary systems.

Boillat, in turn, praised the current level of CoE-Azerbaijan relationship. He hailed Azerbaijan's accomplishments in the justice and penitentiary systems.

Boillat also expressed confidence that cooperation between CoE and Azerbaijan would further “successfully” develop.

The CoE official invited Mammadov to attend the 30th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers of Justice. Special Representative of the CoE`s Secretary General, Veronika Kotek, was present at the meeting.
